Hello and thank you for visiting our site! Star D Ranch is owned and operated by Doug & Jenny Davis of rural Drakesville, Iowa. Here at the ranch we stand two stallions, operate our equine breeding station, and raise some outstanding foals. We are doing what we love to do here at our ranch and our dedication to perfection reflects our love for horses.

We have picked two fantastic AQHA Palomino Stallions to stand here at our ranch. HESA GOLD CONCLUSIVE (aka-LeRoy) is a grandson to PLAYGIRLS CONCLUSION and a great-grandson to MR. CONCLUSION. LeRoy has placed in every show he has been in. YELLOW JACKET 2004 (aka-Little Jack) is a grandson to the “Hall of Fame” stallion TWO EYED JACK. Little Jack is 44% TWO EYED JACK bred and is out of the last son of TWO EYED JACK that is still shipping semen. Please go to our stallion page to read more about our stallions.

This year we opened our Equine Breeding Station to the public. Our ranch has a beautiful new facility and all new equipment to better serve our customers. We also keep our knowledge up to date in the equine breeding industry by completing courses in breeding management. Please read our Breeding Station page for a list of our services.

Every year we have a great crop of foals born on our ranch. There should be some new foals hitting the ground in February, March, and April in 2006. All of our foals sold before they were weaned last year, so keep checking our foals for sale page and get one quick.
